I haven’t done a 2-a-day workout in a few weeks, so decided to re-embark upon that today, but not in my usual fashion. In other words, I didn’t run.
We recently joined a gym that offers child care, so today I decided to take advantage of that and try out a fitness class. Pilates was on the schedule, and as you all know, I love Pilates! I usually do an in-home practice, but really enjoyed taking a group class for once (and one that I wasn’t teaching).
As for the day care situation, it wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought it’d be. I had already dropped Riley off a few times so I could run, so had already become comfortable with the employees. The first time I used the service I just didn’t let myself think too much about it. I made sure I was fully ready before dropping her off and then, after doing so, I walked out, started my Garmin, and got running. Now don’t get me wrong, the second I was done I booked it back to the room to check on her, I am human after all! She was fine. In fact, I have one of those kids that runs away from me to go play. I kinda wish she were clingy, but I know I should probably be thankful that she is so outgoing.
Sorry, in typical Monica Christie fashion i’ve gone off on a tangent.
Workout #2 was the YogaSPIN class I teach every Wednesday. I love instructing this class because I get in a workout too! Today we definitely did just that. Here was today’s playlist, for both yoga and spinning.
For the yoga portion of this class I do show form, but do not do every move/pose, I tend to walk around and adjust people as needed. Today I stayed in half-pigeon along with the class and felt like I could’ve stayed there forever. Good thing I got up, or else I might have fallen asleep right there. I wonder if an instructor has ever done that, fallen asleep in class? Could you just imagine?!?!

Ahhh….pigeon pose!!! I love me some pigeon pose!
Glorious, isn’t it?!
Absolutely! lol And yes…I do think it could be possible to fall asleep even in that pose…lol. It’s one of my favorites!
