Well, there is still no baby. So much for that 2012 tax break
Anyway, what an exciting year it has been. I ran a few half marathons, missed 1 due to the nasty Nola virus, ran my first official 5K, ran 2 races pregnant and even raced with Riley.
Despite missing half of October and all of November (thanks to pregnancy bed rest), I was still able to rack up totals of over 612 miles ran, over 53 miles walked and 33 hours of Spinning! Here’s my annual breakdown of all workouts:
May was definitely my most active month, remember all those Circuits?! I only took one full day off and that was a day spend entirely in the car, traveling from MI to NC (I did lunges and squats at the rest stops, if that counts!).
I am already very excited for my post-baby return. I know I have to wait 8 weeks post c-section, but can’t wait to get back to work! I have high hopes for 2013, which include setting a new half marathon PR (I am determined to break 1:41) and crossing off at least 2 or 3 more states from my list. Other plans include a return to hot yoga (I bought a 10-class package to my favorite studio), a stint in reformer Pilates (also bought a small 5-class package) and a return to Spinning as well. I know it may sound crazy, but I am considering another month of All About Circuits as my initial return to fitness. It might be too much, but what better way to get my pre-baby body back?! It’s going to get real #FitFluential up in here!
Thanks to all of you for reading and sticking with me through these last few, rough, months. A baby will soon arrive and, after a short few weeks of all baby-related posts, we’ll be right back to non-stop talk of running, spinning and trying to chase TWO babies! Thanks for your continued support!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, RKR READERS!

I am in love with circuit workouts, I can’t get enough of them lately!
Happy New Year
Happy New Year to you as well! I swear, circuits give such great results!
Happy new year! Can’t wait for your littl one’s arrival!
Same here- i’m getting impatient! =) Can’t wait to keep reading your updates. Well wishes for a great rest of pregnancy!
Happy New Year sweet friend! 2013 is going to be a great year for you and your family.
I can’t believe that you had 33 spinning hours this last year. That is impressive!!!!
I love your goals for the new year and how you have already purchased the fitness packages. I should do something like that. I wanted to do a barre class, but they are super expensive. I might have to wait on that. Can’t wait to hear how you like hot yoga. That really freaks me out.
Thanks, Tasha! I love keeping track and am always surprised by my totals at the end of the year- I bet you would be too!
Barre class sounds awesome. My best advice is to keep an eye on all bargain sites like Groupon, Living Social, etc- that is where I found each deal and for super cheap! I also treated myself to armpit laser hair removal treatments. Might sound odd, but I am super excited about it- can’t wait to not worry about shaving them all the time!
Best wishes for an amazing new year- I’m sensing some awesome running goals being accomplished in your future!
If I send you my email address, could you fwd me a copy of this spreadsheet? Or is this from one you’ve downloaded online? I love this!
Caryn, this is just a simply excel thing I created- i’ll send you a blank copy now so you can track your workouts in 2013!!!
Awesome!! Thanks, Christie!!
